Description
Tasting notes: Ruby in color with a purple hue. Black fruit aromas, well balances with the oak, bringing sweet spicy and nice toasty notes. Good structure taste. Tasty, sweet, well balanced, with pleasant smooth tannins and toasty reminders on the finish.
Estate: Originally known as the Cooperatia de Pa???afiel in the year 1927, the Bodegas Protos winery was the first winery of the Ribera del Duero. This project started with the union of some of the best Spanish winemakers at the time and through their grand efforts and perseverance for each wine vintage, they became one of the best wineries of Spain. The name ??®???Protos??®??Ÿ?????? comes from Greek to mean ??®???first.??®??Ÿ?????? This name brings back the fact that they were the first winery of Pe???afiel, Spain, founding the winemaking of the Ribera.
Vinification: 12 months in (60%) French and (40%) American oak barrels. Both processes, the fermentation and maceration, were carried out in stainless steel vats at 28 degrees Celsius to obtain color and structure.
